Career/Occupation I have been a police officer for 9 years and was recently promoted to sergeant. I like that each day is different and that this career provides me with a mental and physical challenge. I like being in the fresh air and talking to people in the community. When the baby arrives, I plan to take about 8 months off from work for family leave. Once I return to work, my child will be in daycare 4 days a week. I have 3 days off each week. When important events like school plays or field trips arise, I plan to take the day off from work to make sure I’m there.
